Opponent Watch: Lesotho to enter camp in ten days ahead of Chipolopolo clash

Africa-Press – Zambia. Zambia’s opponents in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, Lesotho are set to enter camp soon ahead of their clash with the Copper Bullets in March. Lesotho will regroup in 10 days time to begin preparations for their back to back matches against the Chipolopolo Boys.

The Likuena will continue their preparations for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers as they gather on January 16 for a training camp for locally-based players.

Coach Veselin Jelusic will take his players through their paces as they prepare for the vital home-and-away clashes against Zambia in March that could go a long way to deciding their participation in the continental finals that are scheduled for Ivory Coast in January 2024.

Lesotho have taken a single point from their first two matches in their qualification Group H following a home draw with the Ivorians (0-0) and a loss to Comoros (0-2).

Victories in the games against Zambia would put them in the pound seats in the pool, with the Ivorians having already qualified as hosts, leaving a single place up for grabs.

Zambia on the other hand lost to Ivory Coast 3-1 before beating Comoros 2-1 thanks to a late Klings Kangwa free kick. Chipolopolo new boss Avram Grant will be looking to start his life as the Zambian gaffer on a positive note.
