Africa-Press – Zambia. Striker Patson Daka is set to miss Leicester City’s round 19 English Premier League clash against Fulham. City are yet to learn the full extent of Patson Daka’s hamstring injury, however, the Zambia striker is set to miss tonight’s clash.
Daka limped off injured just 15 minutes into the 2-1 loss at Anfield with a hamstring injury. The Zambia forward was starting for the second time in four days after leading the line against Newcastle. Leicester City boss Brendan Rogers confirmed the unavailability of the Zambian international during a pre-match press conference on Monday.
“It looks that way (that Daka won’t be available). It looks like he’s come off with his hamstring so I think that will put him. I’ll get a clearer indication of time-frame in the next couple of days,” Rogers said. With Daka and John Evans now out, City’s injury list now includes seven first-team players.
James Maddison needs another week’s rest for his knee injury before he potentially returns to training, while Dennis Praet is treating a blow to his side he suffered against Newcastle. Ricardo Pereira (Achilles), James Justin (Achilles), and Ryan Bertrand (knee) are long-term absentees. The Foxes will host Fulham at the King Power Stadium. Kick off is set off at 21:45 Central African time.
