Africa-Press – Zambia. The former ruling party Patriotic Front PF says State House is the force behind Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) boss Patrick Nshindano’s departure.
“We should remember that State House Assistant for Politics, Levy Ngoma and Home Affairs Permanent Secretary, Josephs Akafumba were caught plotting ECZ Patrick Nshindano’s downfall,” says PF.
These comments came after ECZ announced that Nshindano will be leaving the Commission, a decision made through mutual agreement. The Commission did not disclose the reason behind Nshindano’s departure.
Meanwhile, PF has also accused the government of firing competent people like Nshindano while protecting others like Mary Chirwa whose morals have come under scrutiny over a leaked pornographic video.
