Africa-Press – Zambia. PF Secretary General Raphael Nakachinda is a victim of politics of regional compliance being practiced by the UPND.
According to the UPND paradox Nakachinda is not expected to be a member of PF and working against Hakainde Hichilema and even worse he is not expected to be working with the former sixth President Edgar Chagwa Lungu whom they consider their sworn enemy.
The continued holding of Nakachinda hostage by the police in detention is illegal and is calculated to punish and break him into submission.
The regular singling out of Raphael Nakachinda by the police for making similar political statements to the other politicians is baffling. This is a clear case of retribution.
Clearly Nakachinda is a marked man being punished for not supporting UPND and Hichilema on account that he hails from the same geographical boundaries with Hichilema and as such he is expected to support him.
The continued hold of Nakachinda in detention is illegal and seriously breaches his human rights.
In a nutshell we demand for his immediate unconditional release from detention.
