Africa-Press – Zambia. Ka Ngombe kananidwalika (meat from this cow in the pic made me sick). As per tradition a bull is slaughtered at the Ngoni’s Ncwala ceremony and paramount Chief Mpezeni gets to taste the roasted liver or meat immediately after the public slaughter. I was duped into eating some aswell.
Within minutes I developed a sharp burning pain on one knee and had to leave the arena early. I endured the drive back through pain but by the time was arriving in Lusaka, I could hardly walk. Excruciating burning pain it was. Went straight to the hospital and got admitted.
Initially thought been bewitched but after all tests were done including xrays, the Doctor made a verdict that all indications from the Kab was that the knee swelling and pain was due to the red meat in my standard menu and that I needed to stop eating it all together🥹. Apparently only sure solution to gout and got discharged to go practice as advised. Only vegetable meals have had today and so far so good.
Overall Ncwala was ecstatic this year except for the denkete (sick) cow that made me sick Congratulations to Organisers and congratulations the paramount Chief Mpezeni’s the 40th anniversary on the throne. Long live Nkosi yama Nkosi . Bayete .
