Africa-Press – Zambia. Those opposing mining in Lower Zambezi are hired guns, must be ignored, Emmanuel Tembo MP Feira MP, Emmanuel Tembo has accused those opposing the mine of being sell-outs, and hired guns.
He says Luangwa needs the mine and it has never benefitted from tourism. He accused tour operators in the area of smuggling wildlife, and mining gold illegally and trafficked outside the country.
He said tourism has no benefit to the country as it only contributes 2% of GDP. He said chiefs in Luangwa district have approved the mining project. He was appearing on Diamond Television.
