Africa-Press – Zambia. Patriotic Front Pambashe parliamentary candidate Hon. Ronald Kaoma Chitotela says the UPND has resorted to violence because they have sensed another loss in the August 12, General elections.
Hon. Chitotela, the ruling PF Member of the Central Committee has told SMART EAGLES that the recent attacks on PF members by the UPND are last kicks of a dying horse.
He said the UPND are deliberately provoking the PF so that when the ruling party reacts they cry foul. Hon. Chitotela said the UPND have realized that their perceived popularity is fake and they have no numbers to defeat PF and President Edgar Lungu.
He has since called on PF members to remain peaceful as the country mourns the late founding father Dr. Kenneth David Kaunda. ” What I don’t want is violence, we need to have peaceful elections. The UPND can provoke us but I urge PF members not to retaliate,” Hon. Chitotela said.
” The UPND and its leader Hakainde Hichilema know that they are losing these elections because they have no numbers to defeat the PF and President Lungu so why fight with them, in Bemba we say ‘ Taboma imbwa imfwile’, loosely translated as ‘you don’t beat a dead dog’ ,” the PF MCC adds. And Hon. Chitotela said the construction of Kawambwa sugar will change the face of Pambashe constituency and will create jobs for locals.
