Africa-Press – Zambia. Reports filtering through are that candidates who had chickened out of the much anticipated Kwacha, Kabushi parliamentary by-election have decided to re-contest.
Lawrence Kasonde and Joseph Yombwe have reportedly written to the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) expressing interest to re-contest the seats when the new dates are set.
The two had previously chickened out of the race. Meanwhile, the race would also pit former legislators and heavyweights Bowman Lusambo and Joseph Malanji.
