Youth Activist Blasts Defunct PF For Shunning Women’s Day

Africa-Press – Zambia. Youth of Substance (YSF) National Coordinator Rudolf Mwanza has expressed disappointment with the decision of the Patriotic Front to boycott women day.

He said this was a special day that the Zambian joins the entire would in appreciating the role women play in everyday society. Mr Mwanza said this event was for every Zambian and not a political party.

“It is very unfortunate that the PF have decided to shun the National women’s day commemoration. This is a special day that women come together, sit down and share ideas on how they are going to contribute to the development of this country.

“Now if you shun Government activities, you start lugging behind and start accusing the UPND Government of not being inclusive of women. This is not how it should be, Government activities are for every Zambian and not one political party.” He said.

Mr Mwanza noted that the UPND Government had done quite a lot in the short period of time they have been in power. He said, as promised in their manifesto, the UPND have managed to provide free education and paid retires who had been crying for their benefits for the past 10 years.

“Rule of law and a fair allocation of resources has been restored in the country that is why we as YSF have taken up the step to assist our youths and women to form cooperatives and benefit from the youth and women empowerment.

“We are living no one behind we want everyone to benefit from the national cake because the UPND government is a working.
