Africa-Press – Zambia. Patrick Samwimbila has called on all Zambians to rally behind President Hakainde Hichilema for a second term.
Mr. Samwimbila, a UPND media team member, who was speaking this morning when he featured on 5FM’s Burning Issues program made a compelling case for Zambians to support President Hakainde Hichilema’s leadership by re-electing him for a second term.According to Samwimbila, President Hichilema’s vision and policies have already demonstrated tangible benefits to the nation, laying a foundation that, if given more time, could transform Zambia’s future.
One of the standout achievements Samwimbila highlighted was the free education policy, which has enabled 2 million pupils to return to school reflecting the President’s commitment to universal accessible education.
He attributed this policy to Hichilema’s broader vision of uplifting every Zambian through strategic reforms. Additionally, he commended the president’s dedication to the rule of law, an area in which he believes Hichilema has shown exemplary leadership.
Mr. Samwimbila also acknowledged the economic hardships the nation is currently facing, noting that, despite these challenges, the president remains unwavering in his commitment to his promises.
Furthermore, he mentioned that factors such as the recent drought and the economic conditions inherited from the previous administration have slowed progress.
Samwimbila stated, “The president has put measures in place to mitigate these impacts, like increasing the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), introducing a drought emergency fund, and expanding social cash transfer programs, which demonstrate Mr. Hichilema’s proactive approach to cushioning citizens amid adversity.”
Mr. Samwimbila called upon Zambians to give Hichilema the chance to continue this work in a second term by urging citizens to recognize the broader vision of the president, promising that, if re-elected, the second term would bring a more pronounced shift in Zambia’s trajectory, ultimately securing a prosperous future for all.
