Africa-Press – Zambia. THE PF has declared that Zambians should brace themselves for the possibility of Given Lubinda taking over the reins of State House after President Hakainde Hichilema.
According to PF deputy national chairperson for women’s affairs, Kavumbu Hakachima, Lubinda has held the opposition party together since 2021 despite constant attacks and attempts to undermine him.
She explained that Lubinda’s experience and vision have helped the PF remain stable and united as the biggest opposition party at a time when many had predicted its collapse.
“As a seasoned politician with a proven track record, he is eminently eligible to contest any position, including the Presidency,” Hakachima declared.
“Zambians should prepare for the possibility of Lubinda succeeding President Hakainde Hichilema as the eighth President of the Republic of Zambia, building on the foundations laid by his predecessor.”
She argued that the former Kabwata lawmaker is not only eligible to contest the presidency but also stands out as one of the few seasoned politicians with the right mix of experience and leadership skills to steer the country forward.
Hakachima further dismissed critics questioning his eligibility, describing them as people driven by jealousy of his rising popularity and a lack of understanding of the PF constitution.
