Africa-Press – Zambia. Lumwana Radiants, Zanaco and Power Dynamos recorded wins as the MTN Super League made a return after a 107 days hiatus. Power Dynamos squared off with Nkwazi in the early kick off of the day, Jacob Kaunda scoring the only goal of the game in the dying minutes.
The match was heading for a goalless draw only for the former Chambishi forward to score a beauty inside the area deep in additional time. Radiants were however the big winners of the day as they came from a goal down to beat Green Eagles 3-1 at the Lumwana Stadium.
Hosea Silwimba put Eagles in the lead in the 36th minute to score the first goal of the 2022/2023 Super League season. A goal each from Benjamin Mukanda, Abraham Kanyanga, and Kapambwe Musonda however, made sure the Super League newcomers started their campaign on a winning note.
In Chambishi, Abraham Siankombo scored the only goal of the game as Zanaco edged Chambishi 1-0. Golden Mashata scored in the 81st minute to secure a point for the Betway sponsored Green Buffaloes away in Mazabuka. Andrew Phiri put FC MUZA in the lead in the 9th minute.
