Africa-Press – Zambia. Bread of Life Church International General Overseer, Bishop Joseph Imakando has urged Zambians to carefully scrutinize all presidential candidates aspiring to lead them.
During the Sunday service, Bishop Imakando advised congregants that not trivialize the choice of who becomes president for the country. The soft spoken televangelist urged Zambians not to fix what is not broken adding people often realize how good and progressive a leader was when they are gone.
Bishop Imakando cited late President Levy Mwanawasa as one of the great leaders who was vilified when he was alive and Zambians only came to realize how good he was after his death.
” Let’s be very careful as we chose our leaders especially at presidential level this year. We must ensure that we carefully scrutinize all those that aspire to lead us and make sure that we don’t fix what’s not broken. People realise how good and progressive a leader is after they are good, so let’s not find our in a situation like the one we found ourselves in during Mwanawasa’s time. We vilified the man left, right and centre and only came to realise how great a leader he was when he was gone…but I believe that our loving God will never allow anyone with ill intentions to enter plot 1,” said Bishop Imakando.
