Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. UP-AND-COMING musician CelineSky has credited her performances on international stages to broadening her horizons and revealing the transformative power of cross-cultural music, highlighting that the experience has profoundly impacted her life and artistic journey.
Born Celine Muzarabani (28), CelineSky told NewsDay Life & Style that performing in various countries has been life changing for her.
“Performing in South Africa and Zanzibar was life-changing. In South Africa, I got to engage with a diverse and vibrant audience, which helped me see the cross-cultural power of music,” she said.
“Zanzibar was surreal — the atmosphere, the rhythm of the place, and the connection with both locals and travelers gave me fresh inspiration. Being on stage in different countries reminded me that music is a universal language.”
Added CelineSky: “It impacted how I write and perform. I’ve become more confident, open and experimental with my sound. Those experiences shaped not just my career, but my worldview as well.”
CelineSky has showcased her artistry on various international stages, including Bulawayo, South Africa, luxury hotels in Zanzibar, and Turkey, infusing her performances with a global essence.
Her recent single Shepherd’s Rhythm is a Lo-fi, soulful, and introspective feel.
The single was inspired by Psalm 23, and it is a blend of gospel with bluesy and folk influences.
CelineSky is a NeoSoul lyricist and her songs often draw from Scripture, personal, relatable or common experiences, and themes like mental wellness, love, and faith.
She also revealed that she is working towards releasing a full Extended Play called Feels.
