“We Won’t Go Down,” Says Dynamos Coach Chaminuka

Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. Dynamos head coach Saul Chaminuka remains confident that the club will avoid relegation from the Premier Soccer League, despite their current position in the drop zone.

On Saturday, Dynamos suffered a 2-0 defeat to Herentals in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match at Rufaro Stadium, their seventh loss in 18 games.

During the match, DeMbare managed just two shots on target. Chaminuka expressed hope that the club will bring in a new striker during the current transfer window to strengthen their misfiring attack. Said Chaminuka:

We will survive. It’s a tough one to swallow. But that is football. It’s not like we did not play football, at least the window period is open. We need to get one or two experienced players to boost our strike force.

Dynamos currently sit in 17th place on the log standings, having won just two of their 18 matches this season. They have drawn nine and lost seven, leaving them deep in the relegation zone with a meagre 15 points.

The Glamour Boys have struggled in front of goal, scoring only six times while conceding 13.

To compound their woes, Dynamos face a Premier Soccer League disciplinary hearing this week over charges of misconduct related to the recent abandonment of their match against FC Platinum at Mandava Stadium.
