Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. President Cyril Ramaphosa has called for increased collaboration and investments by both the Zimbabwean and South African private sectors to maximise the amount of trade between the two countries.
Ramaphosa made the call at the Zimbabwe Agriculture Show in Harare on Friday.
He further appeals for increased investment in the provision of seeds, irrigation schemes, and agro-processing for the region to build resilience in pursuit of food security.
President Ramaphosa was the guest of honour at the 115th edition of the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show.
Farmers, both large and small, as well as big businesses, took turns to exhibit their products.
After visiting several stands at the show, President Ramaphosa says South Africa’s agricultural journey has a lot of similarities to that of Zimbabwe.
