Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. ZIMBABWE’S leading health insurance group, Cimas, yesterday led a media tour to showcase the newly-refurbished Private Obstetrics and Gynaecology ward at the Avenues Clinic in Harare.

The upgrade is part of a broader strategy by Avenues Clinic to enhance patient experience and access to high-quality healthcare services.

The refurbishment project has changed the ward into a modern, patient-centred facility, according to Avenues Clinic officials.

Key features of the upgraded unit include state-of-the-art medical equipment, modernised private rooms designed for comfort and privacy and improved clinical infrastructure aimed at supporting specialised maternal and women’s healthcare.

During the tour, journalists were shown the new birthing suites, post-natal recovery rooms, nurse station and consultation areas.

Management emphasised that the primary goal of the investment was to provide a superior environment to match world-class standards.

Addressing the media, Avenues Clinic general manager Sibusisiwe Ndhlovu said the project was an initiative to improve health facilities in Zimbabwe.

“We have done two-thirds of the wards in this hospital as we continue to play our part to complement government’s efforts in terms of providing health services,” Ndhlovu added.

The Avenues Clinic has long been a key health service provider in Harare.

The investment in the Obs and Gynae ward underscores the commitment to continuous improvement and clinical excellence.
