Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. The 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season is set for a dramatic finale, with eight clubs embroiled in a tense fight for survival and only three relegation places still to be decided.
Highlanders and Dynamos, two of Zimbabwe’s most storied football institutions, are among the sides battling to secure their top-flight status on Sunday afternoon.
Dynamos need only a point against FC Platinum at Rufaro Stadium to guarantee safety, though they will undoubtedly push for victory to avoid any late drama.
Chicken Inn and Highlanders face high-stakes encounters, with defeat proving catastrophic for either side.
At the Green Fuel Arena, Green Fuel must take all three points to ensure survival, while Triangle United require just a draw to stay afloat.
Triangle’s superior nine-goal advantage over Yadah should keep them safe, unless Yadah win and Green Fuel lose.
Elsewhere, Bikita Minerals must claim victory at Sakubva Stadium to avoid the drop as they meet Manica Diamonds. The Gem Boys, however, head into the fixture with far less pressure, as a draw or even a narrow defeat will be enough to secure another season in the top flight.
Yadah face the steepest challenge of the weekend: they must beat Simba Bhora and hope results elsewhere go in their favour if they are to survive.
Meanwhile, Scottland were crowned 2025 PSL champions on Saturday following a 2–1 win over TelOne at Ascot Stadium.
MWOS, who were promoted alongside Scottland last season, sealed a remarkable second-place finish with a spirited 3–2 victory over Ngezi Platinum Stars.
Herentals College ended the campaign in seventh after a 3–0 win over ZPC Kariba at Rufaro Stadium, with ZPC Kariba settling for eighth place.
