The Premier Soccer League and Footballers Union of Zimbabwe are finalising the Standard Player Contract that is meant to create favourable working conditions between football players and clubs.

The PSL Board of Governors met at its Annual General Meeting held on Sunday in Harare and agreed on the contract which is now waiting for approval from the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA).

“The Premier Soccer League and Footballers Union of Zimbabwe are finalising a Standard Player contract subject to approval by the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA). This will go a long way in resolving player disputes,” the PSL revealed this on Tuesday.

The move to have this standard contract comes after an increase in reports of disputes involving football players and clubs over the years with the recent case being of Lawrence Mhlanga and Chicken Inn, and Valentine Kadonzvo and Dynamos.
