Music lovers are in for a treat with an Anti-sanctions music gala set to held on 25th of this month in Bulawayo.

The music extravaganza, organised by the ZANU PF Information and Publicity Department, will see musicians from diverse genres showcasing their artistry under one roof in the City of Kings and Queens at a venue to be announced.

Tafadzwa Mugwadi, the ZANU PF National Director for Information and Publicity, says the gala is in fulfilment of an earlier promise made by President Mnangagwa to bring the 2020 independence celebrations to the province.

“We have an unfulfilled promise to the people of Bulawayo. Early this year, his excellence president Mnangagwa promised the people of Bulawayo that the independence gala was going to be held in their city.

“However due to COVID-19, the commemorations could not be done. This is why we have chosen Bulawayo. A lot of seasoned and rising artists will be performing at the gala. Some of these artists include Jays Marabini, Sandra Ndebele, Kireni Zulu, Leonard Zhakata, Nicholas Zachariah, Soul Jah love and Jah Master.”

The 25th of October was set aside by the SADC bloc as a day to call for the unconditional removal of illegal sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe by the United States and its allies.

The anti-sanctions gala will be broadcast live on ZBC TV and Heritage TV.
