Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. Two people died on Wednesday morning after the car they were travelling in veered off the road, hit a billboard, and plunged into the Mukuvisi River near the Trabanlas Interchange in Harare.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) confirmed the accident in a statement issued on 15 December 2025, saying the driver and one passenger were the victims of the crash. Police said:
“The ZRP confirms a fatal road traffic accident which occurred on 24/12/25 at around 0430 hours along Highglen Road near Trabablas, Harare.
“A motorist driving a Toyota Hilux, with three passengers on board, lost control of the vehicle, veered off the road, struck a billboard and plunged into the Mukuvisi River.
“Two occupants, including the driver, died on the spot, while the other two were injured.
“The bodies of the victims were conveyed to Sally Mugabe Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination.”
