Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. Police have confirmed the arrest of a Greendale woman for allegedly having sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old boy.
The incident occurred on Tuesday at the minor’s parents’ home in Houghton Park, Harare.
The boy’s mother was reported to have returned home and caught the boy and the woman in the act.
Police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said investigations into the case have begun and more details will be revealed in due course. Said Nyathi:
The Zimbabwe Republic Police would like to confirm the arrest of a woman alleged to have been caught having sex with a minor in Houghton Park.
Investigations with a view to getting to the bottom of the case have since begun and details will be released in due course.
Meanwhile, the woman claimed innocence, telling H-Metro that the boy was the one who phoned her for sex at his parents’ house. She said:
Chandatadza chii inini ndaita zvekudaidzwa ndazoziva sei pamba pake dai asina kundifonera (what wong have I done? He is the one who called me, otherwise would I have come to his place?)
We had protected sex and I do not see any reason why I can be treated like a thief or robber.
The woman was taken to Waterfalls Police Station where she was detained.
