DISCUSSION | SA’s intervention in Zimbabwe crisis: Mmusi Maimane

This week a prominent journalist who was critical of the Zimbabwe government, Hopewell Chin’ono, was denied bail for the third time. Chin’ono has been detained for more than a month on charges of inciting public violence. Well, the suppression of dissenting voices and reports of human rights abuses in Zimbabwe has sparked international outrage. Dozens of NGOs, lawyers, and diplomats have spoken out. And Zimbabwe’s neighbours have been accused of being quiet. To discuss we’re joined by Senator Douglas T Mwonzora who is the Secretary-General of the opposition MDC-T party. And we’re also joined by the leader of the One South Africa Movement, Mmusi Maimane.
