FC Platinum Plans To Fire De Jongh – REPORT

Africa-PressZimbabwe. Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League champions FC Platinum are on the verge of sacking head coach Hendrikus Pieter de Jongh, reports Soccer24.

The Dutchman is not a holder of the CAF A coaching license or a valid Pro license which is required for all coaches participating in CAF’s interclub tournaments.

The Platinum miners have taken decisive action and are expected to formally announce the decision by the weekend.

De Jong joined the club in January from Highlanders and has courted controversy since the switch.

Reports suggest that former FC Platinum interim coach Lizwe Sweswe will make a sensational return to the club once De Jongh has been shown the exit door.

De Jongh is understood to have pushed Lizwe Sweswe, who briefly served as his assistant, out of the club.

Sweswe holds the CAF A coaching license and took over the reins at ZIFA Central Region Division One side Trukumb Mine following his departure from Pure Platinum play.
