Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed the arrest of five family members over the murder of their relative, John Chimana Chaora (54), in Guruve.
In a statement, the ZRP named the suspects as Kelvin Katuruza Chaora (26), a 16-year-old male juvenile, Chemika Gwenzi (33), Bvumbe Mandeya (35), and Ranwes Chaora (58). The statement reads:
“The ZRP confirms the arrest of five family members in connection with the murder of their relative, John Chimana Chaora (54), in Guruve.
“The suspects are Kelvin Katuruza Chaora (26), a male juvenile (16), Chemika Gwenzi (33), Bvumbe Mandeya (35) and Ranwes Chaora (58).
“The victim was reported missing on 28/12/25 after being last seen at Bowen Shops, Kazunga Village, Guruve on 25 /12/25.
“Investigations by the police led to the arrest of the suspects and the recovery of the victim’s belongings.
“The body was located near Ambush Dam, Kazunga Village, Guruve on 31/12/25.”
Police said that further details surrounding the incident will be released in due course as investigations continue.
