He added “One of these areas of interest is Africa because this continent has significant economic and commercial capacities, but part of it has been neglected due to lack of recognition and lack of infrastructure. Use these capacities.”
Peyman Pak emphasized “In the last year and a half, based on the follow-ups of the government, we succeeded in developing business relations with Africa in various sectors; The statistics also show a 100% growth in 1400 compared to the previous year and a 15% increase in 10 months of this year compared to the same period last year.”
He pointed out that the knowledge of the African continent has been less compared to other countries, on the other hand, the lack of logistics infrastructure has also caused extensive trade relations between Iran and African countries to not be established, plans were made in the Trade Development Organization in the past few months. Referring to holding international exhibitions and sending and receiving dozens of trade delegations from different West African countries, the head of the Iran Trade Development Organization said: Following the visits made to various industries in Iran, including medicine, medical equipment and biotechnology, various industrial capacities are provided to traders. and economic activists of these countries have been introduced.
He emphasized “ Licenses for holding exhibitions and commercial centers have been issued in Ghana, Ivory Coast, and Cameroon, and two more commercial centers will be established in Nigeria and Senegal by the end of this year. It is very effective in various matters such as company registration, obtaining permits, customs procedures and financial issues.”
The head of the Iran Trade Development Organization said “The lack of regular shipping lines is one of the reasons why we could not use the capacities of West Africa. With the plans made and with the participation of the private sector in the form of a consortium, a memorandum of understanding will be signed for a regular shipping line to West Asia.”
Emphasizing that these things are very effective in the development of trade relations, he clarified: clearing is also considered for the development of trade relations, although this issue was implemented in some countries and it can be effective for the development of trade relations with West Africa. .
Peyman Pak also stated “Signing a preferential or free agreement by reducing customs tariffs for exports and imports can increase trade relations between Iran and West Africa.”
