Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. Four people were killed while 12 others were injured when a kombi they were travelling in overturned along the Bulawayo-Victoria Falls Road on Saturday.

ZRP spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the accident, which occurred at the 312km peg along the road. He said:

“The ZRP confirms a fatal road traffic accident which occurred on January 3, 2026, at the 312-kilometre peg along Bulawayo-Victoria Falls Road.

“Four people were killed while 12 others were injured when a Nissan Caravan kombi with 16 passengers on board veered off the road before overturning and landing on its roof.

“The bodies of the victims were conveyed to Hwange Colliery Hospital mortuary for post-mortem, while the injured were admitted at the same hospital.”

In a separate incident, an unidentified woman was found dead on Saturday at the eight-kilometre peg along the Lion’s Den–Mhangura Road, in what is believed to have been a hit-and-run accident.

Police said she was wearing a striped blue and grey T-shirt and red track bottoms. Her body was taken to Chinhoyi Provincial Hospital for a post-mortem.
