Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. THE Global Investment Conference for Africa 2025 (GICA) is set to take place in Harare from September 11 to 13, bringing together prominent business leaders and investors from around the world.

Organised by Dubai-based company, Bluefin Gold Group (BGG), the three-day event aims to catalyse strategic partnerships between governments and investors in infrastructure development and smart technologies.

Running under the theme Vision for a Smart Integrated First World Africa, the conference seeks to drive Africa’s transformation by attracting investments in cutting-edge technologies and infrastructure projects.

Charles Nyabaya, the executive director at BGG, said the event has already garnered significant interest from global investors willing to invest in Africa at competitive interest rates.

Nyabaya said the conference promises to be a platform for fostering collaborations that can help African countries achieve a trillion-dollar economy within the next eight years.

“This year’s edition of the GICA will be held in Harare, Zimbabwe, and we have mobilised most of big investors from around the world, that will invest with reasonable interest rates,” Nyabaya said.

“We intend to help African countries create trillion dollar economies in the next eight years. We feel it’s possible with the right mindset and strategies.”

According to the organisers, notable speakers include Jacques Ludik, the chief executive officer of Cortex Group, Ghanaian legislator Edemu Ackuaku and business mogul Celina Lee, among others.

With registration already underway, this event is poised to be a landmark gathering for Africa’s economic future.

“We are happy with the response from participants and investors around the globe who have shown interest to travel to Harare for the conference,” Nyabaya said.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has been calling for foreign investment in the country under the mantra “engage and re-engage”.

The maiden GICA was held in South Africa last year.
