GMB Paying Maize, Traditional Grain Farmers 30% Of Their Money In USD

Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. The Grain Marketing Board (GMB) has announced that it is paying farmers 30% of the amount due on Maize and Traditional Grains delivered in United States Dollars and the rest in Zimbabwe dollars. Said GMB in a statement:

1. The Grain Marketing Board (GMB) advises the nation that it is paying farmers 30% of the amount due on Maize and Traditional Grains delivered in United States Dollars (USD) and 70% in Zimbabwe Dollars (ZWL).

2. Farmers are therefore urged to urgently open USD Nostro Accounts with their respective banks.

3. The GMB is encouraging farmers to update their Nostro Banking details with our Supply Chain Managers at all our depots throughout the country for timeous payments.

4. For those with GMB Farmer Cards, the nostro accounts will be automatically generated in our system.

5. We are encouraging farmers to take advantage of this development and start delivering their Maize and Traditional Grains to GMB.
