Govt, Civil Servants Agree On Improved Working Conditions

Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. The National Joint Negotiating Council (NJNC) met this Friday in Harare for the latest round of negotiations towards improving the working conditions of civil servants.

The NJNC comprises Government and civil servants’ representative body, the Apex Council.

In a statement after the meeting, the NJNC said they have agreed on the following:

Meanwhile, civil servants’ representatives requested the Government to bring back the effective date of implementation of the USD 100 package pay date from the 1st of March to 1 January 2022.

Civil servants further pleaded with the Government not to take action against teachers who fail to report for duty.

The NJNC also agreed that quarterly negotiations will continue.
