Hard Work, Desire To Progress Spurring Us On – Songani

Africa-PressZimbabwe. FC Platinum forward Silas Songani insists there is too much work to do this Wednesday when Pure Platinum Play take on Simba Soccer Stars at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.

Speaking after the team’s first training session in Dar Salaam, Tanzania, Songani who missed the first leg in Harare due to injury, said:

We had a great result against Simba Stars but one swallow doesn’t make a summer.

We still have so much in front of us but the players’ honesty and integrity, hard work and willingness to progress, those are the ingredients spurring us on.

What has impressed me more about this group is the desire to train hard and every player is focussed fighting for a place in the team.

Songani commended the club leadership for allowing the team to travel early to enable the players to acclimatise to the weather conditions in the Tanzanian capital.

At the team’s first training session the temperatures were around 31 degrees and the humidity was 66 per cent.
