Africa-PressZimbabwe. According to the Meteorology Services Department, it shall be cloudy in most parts of the country today but Bulawayo, Matabeleland, Masvingo, and parts of Manicaland will likely receive heavy rains in excess of 30mm.

Said the MSD in its weather update:

ZIMBABWE EVENING WEATHER REPORT AND FORECAST ISSUED AT 1600 HRS ON SUNDAY 17 JANUARY 2021 VALID UNTIL TUESDAY 19 JANUARY 2021.

The warm, Inunid and unstable atmospheric conditions affecting the country continue to be responsible for the thunderstorms and rain occurring countrywide; these resulted in localized heavier falls in areas such as Plumtree (34 mm), Binga (26 mm), Nkayi (21 mm), Kezi (20mm) and Masvingo (19mm).

Cloudy and warm conditions are expected TOMORROW MONDAY 18 JANUARY 2021 across the whole country with widespread rain showers which might be thundery in places. Heavy downpours (in excess of 30mm) remain a possibility in Matabeleland North, Matabeleland South, Bulawayo metropolitan , Masvingo, and southern areas of Manicaland.
