Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. Highlanders Football Club has elected Fiso Siziba as its new Vice-Chairman while Busani Mthombeni was elected as the new Treasurer.
The elections were conducted on Sunday at the Highlanders Clubhouse.
Fiso Siziba defeated Babongile Sikhonjwa to land the Vice-Chairperson post.
Meanwhile, Busani Mthombeni, a Bosso benefactor for years from his base in South Africa, defeated Xolisani Moyo to land the Treasurer post.
The new officeholders are mandated with tackling the club’s problems and setting a course toward the future.
Highlanders are struggling to attract quality players, a situation attributed to questionable, hasty player personnel decisions and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
And this is in spite of the lucrative sponsorship deal with Sakunda Holdings that should have made the club the go-to club in this region in particular.
