Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. HARARE, Apr.29 (NewsDayLive) – Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Zimbabwe are set to benefit from a US$15 million investment by global Indian cloud software firm, Zoho Corporation.
Zoho Africa regional manager Andrew Bourne said the company’s goal was to lower digital barriers for Zimbabwean entrepreneurs and small businesses by making powerful cloud-based tools more accessible and affordable.
“SMEs are the backbone of the economy, and our solutions are built to help them grow efficiently,” said Bourne. “We want to empower them with localised, compliant, and scalable technology that fits the unique challenges they face.”
The investment will be officially launched during Zimbabwe Digital Week 2025, a three-day event set for May 5–7 at the Harare International Conference Centre, bringing together government leaders, captains of industry, and development partners.
With over 55 cloud applications serving functions ranging from marketing to finance, Zoho plans to support Zimbabwean SMEs in boosting productivity, improving compliance, and accessing broader markets.
Zoho’s presence in Zimbabwe over the past five years has already seen growing partnerships with public institutions and local enterprises.
The initiative is expected to enhance capacity building, create tech-driven job opportunities, and improve the digital competitiveness of Zimbabwe’s SME sector.
Zimbabwe Digital Week 2025 is being organised by Loita Business in collaboration with the Ministry of ICT, Afreximbank, Smart Africa, and other continental stakeholders.
