JUST IN: Govt commissions Binga water treatment plant

GOVERNMENT has commissioned the US$2 million dollar Binga Water Treatment Plant which is set to enhance the resort town’s water capacity in line with the expansion taking place in the area.
The Binga Water Supply project which was financed through the support from the treasury and the Zimbabwe National Water Authority (ZINWA) is testimony of government’s desire to unlock the potential of Binga and bring inclusive development.

In a speech read on his behalf, Minister of Lands, Agriculture, Water and Rural Resettlement, Rtd Air Chief Marshal Perrence Shiri highlighted that provision of water and construction of related infrastructure remains a priority for the second republic.
According to the cabinet minister, sprucing up of water infrastructure is expected to give impetus to the realisation of targets under the government’s Vision 2030.
