In a letter addressed to public health sector administrative leaders, the government has asked that an interim measure to reduced working hours for all health workers be implemented.
The health workers, including doctors and nurses, will now work 3 days a week in an effort to curb to what is referred to as ‘prevailing transport challenge’.
It’s not clear what the impact will be on the delivery of health services in the country.
The letter, included below, was sent on Friday 01 February.
