“Inside Out is a play set in the contemporary era that traces the social, economic and political trends and their effects on the ordinary citizen and family units.

“The setup is not of any particular place but has a generic template that is applicable to the activities that are currently happening in different countries,” the statement reads.

Mphepo added that the play highlights family struggles to earn a living in economically challenging situations and their hope for a better future.

“The plot follows two families struggling to make ends meet and adapting to the constantly changing environment.

“It is not only a bold attempt at exploring people’s frustrations, anger and disappointment but also their resilience, dreams and hopes.

“It is a play people will not only enjoy but be able to relate to,” Mphepo said.

Written by Raisedon Maya, ‘Inside Out’ features award winning actress, Heather Jeke, Kudzai Chengedza, Patricia Putsai, Liberty Mwenje and Natasha Moyo.
