Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. A Harare magistrate has issued a warrant of arrest for popular comedian and content creator Admire Takudzwa Mushambi, widely known as Mama Vee, after he failed to appear in court as scheduled.
Mama Vee is a key witness in a high-profile fraud case linked to the E-Creator Ponzi scheme, which allegedly swindled victims out of over US$300,000.
Regional Magistrate Francis Mapfumo authorised the arrest after Mama Vee missed his appearance at the Harare Magistrates Court.
During the proceedings, another witness and social media personality, Tarisai Cleopatra Munetsiwa, popularly known as Madam Boss, told the court that Mama Vee had introduced her to the E-Creator scheme’s operators.
Madam Boss said she was initially approached to create a Facebook advertisement for the scheme, for which she was paid.
She later invested US$100 herself and encouraged her husband and other relatives to participate.
