Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. Mark Harrison is reported to be among a number of foreign and local coaches who have expressed interest in the vacant Ngezi Platinum Stars coaching role.
The Mhondoro-Ngezi-based club sacked head coach Rodwell Dhlakama last week and appointed Takesure Chiragwi, who was assistant, on an interim basis.
NewsDay
reported a source as saying Harrison, a former CAPS United and Highlanders coach, is the most high-profile candidate on the list of people who have shown interest in the job so far. Said the source:
CVs have started coming in and the list is growing with each passing day. There are several foreign nationals who have applied, including Mark Harrison and a Croatian national. Locals, some of whom are attached, have also shown interest.
The Englishman currently coaches a league side in Kenya. He has previously taken charge of CAPS United, Harare City and Highlanders in Zimbabwe.
He left Highlanders in 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic when football was banned in the country.
