MASVINGO: The MDC says it is yet to receive full reports on the skirmishes that rocked the party during its Masvingo Urban internal elections last week before it can carry out investigations.
The elections were marked by violence and saw one person hospitalised as factions belonging to Masvingo provincial heavyweights Tongai Matutu and James Gumbi were involved in running battles.
However, the MDC national organising secretary Amos Chibaya said the national leadership was yet to receive complete communication on what transpired on the day before it took appropriate action.
“Regarding what transpired in Masvingo, we are still receiving reports from all teams we deployed in Masvingo,” he said.
“Once we receive the reports, we are going to have a meeting as organising (department) and will come up with the way forward, then we will inform you.
