Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. Supa Team 4 is set to burst onto Netflix on 20 July as the global streaming service’s first African animation series.
The eight-part series, dubbed in isiZulu, celebrates the continent’s dynamic storytelling and showcases the strength, intelligence and bravery within all young people.
It was created by Zambian writer Malenga Mulendema, with South African animation studio Triggerfish and leading London-based kids’ entertainment specialist CAKE as producers.
Incredible African talents, including John Kani, Pamela Nomvete, Zowa Ngwira, Namisa Mdlalose, Nancy Sekhokoane and Sparky Xulu, voice the action-filled animation, with Linda Sokhulu the voice behind Mama K. International voice actors John MacMillan and Kimani Arthur complete the impressive talent lineup.
In addition, Zambian rapper, singer and songwriter Sampa the Great graces the series with her musical brilliance, singing the show’s theme song.
