The Mighty Warriors’ fine run in this year’s edition of the COSAFA Women’s Championship continues after they thrashed Mozambique 4-0 today.
Sithethelelwe Sibanda’s charges went into the game oozing with confidence after they beat Angola by the same scoreline days ago.
It took Zimbabwe only 9 minutes to open the scoring with Marjory Nyaumwe putting them ahead before player of the match Emaculate Msipa made it 2-0 in the 23rd minute.
Just before the breather, star of the Angola game Rudo Neshamba was fouled and the official pointed to the spot. She dusted herself, took the spot kick and scored to make it 3-0.
Nyaumwe put the final nail on the Mozambique coffin when she completed her brace and made it 4-0 in the 77th minute, heading in from a free kick.
