Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. Benfica manager Jose Mourinho has named two Chelsea players who struggled against his team during both sides’ UEFA Champions League clash on Tuesday.
Recall that Mourinho watched as Richard Rios’ own goal in the first half gave the Blues a 1-0 victory against Benfica at Stamford Bridge.
Speaking at his post-match interview after the game, Mourinho said the likes of Alejandro Garnacho and Malo Gusto struggled against the Portuguese club before they were brought off by Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca.
“Malo Gusto was already struggling, [Reece] James came in, Garnacho was already struggling, [Jamie] Gittens came in. We are a bit limited,” Mourinho said as quoted by Metro UK after the game.
Both Garnacho and Gusto were replaced by Jamie Gittens and Reece James during the encounter.
Meanwhile, speaking about Garnacho’s performance, Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca said the Argentine was “very good” against Mourinho’s side.
