Ndiraya Says Dynamos Squad Can Now Fight For Titles

Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. Dynamos coach Tonderai Ndiraya has expressed satisfaction over the clubs’ recent transfer business and believes the club is now capable of fighting for titles.

Chazunguza signed eight players this window, namely Ralph Kawondera, Keith Murera, Brandon Mpofu, Evans Katema, Issa Sadiki as well as three foreigners that include two Ghanaians, Emmanuel Paga and Martin Ofori; and Nigerian Alex Orotomal.

Ndiraya said the new signings will improve DeMbare’s strikeforce after the club struggled for goals in their first three matches of the new season.

Dynamos beat Yadah and Bullets by an identical 1-0 goal margin and lost 0-1 to Triangle in their first three matches of the new season last year. Said Ndiraya:

I can safely say that we have done good business during this transfer window and we now have a team that can fight for honours.

The quality that we have added has really improved our teams and with more games, we expect an improved performance in all departments. Our biggest strength the last term was the defence.

But we were a bit concerned about our goalkeeping department which we continue to bolster and then of course the offensive department. We didn’t have many goal scorers.

If you look at our charts our top striker was Albert Eonde with two goals. I think (midfielder) Shadreck Nyahwa had more goals than our strikers.

That really pushed us to go into the market and look for strikers who can score for the team.

I believe those we have brought in can do the job but recruiting is one thing, then training them and playing is another. So we are hoping for the best.
