Nelson Chamisa ditches 'poisoned' Citizens Coalition for Change

Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe’s main opposition leader Nelson Chamisa has ditched what he says is a “poisoned and hijacked” Citizens Coalition for Change. Chamisa accuses the ruling ZANU-PF of taking over the CCC using state institutions. Few months ago, the CCC suffered a major setback after 22 of its members of parliament were recalled over the party’s alleged self-imposed secretary general said they were no longer members of the party. What does the future hold for Chamisa after ditching yet another party he started? He tells Xoli Mngambi that he is not walking away from the citizens of Zimbabwe, but he is walking away from a poisoned chalice.
