Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. ALL eyes will be on Ellis Robbins Ground in Harare tomorrow as Northern Region Soccer League Division One log leaders N’ombeyaora face off second-placed Agama FC in a highly-anticipated clash.
This crucial encounter could have a significant impact on who claims the league title, as the two teams are separated by just four points.
N’ombeyaora currently lead the table with 63 points, while Agama FC trail with 59 points from 27 matches.
N’ombeyaora will be counting on their star striker, Russel Chifura, along with teammate Tadiwa Chibunyu, who both lead the scoring charts with 11 goals.
Chifura has been in sensational form, most recently scoring the winning goal in the final moments of their match against FC Oden on Wednesday.
His consistent performance makes him a key player to watch as the season nears its climax.
While N’ombeyaora coach Nesbert Saruchera is confident in his team’s unstoppable momentum, Agama FC coach Paul Chimalizeni remains optimistic about his side’s chances.
“The four-point gap is not significant, especially with 30 points still to play for,” Chimalizeni said.
“Anything can happen in the final stretch and even the teams in third and fourth place are still in the championship mix.”
In other fixtures, Chegutu Pirates will look to continue their winning streak today after their recent victory over Harare City.
They will take on Chinhoyi Stars at Pfupajena Stadium.
