President Mnangagwa Fires Minister Of State Security Owen Ncube

Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. President Emmerson Mnangagwa has fired the Minister of State Security, Owen Muda Ncube over “conduct inappropriate for a Minister of Government.”

A statement issued by Dr Misheck Sibanda, the Chief Secretary to the President And Cabinet did not disclose the misconduct that got Ncube fired. Pindula News presents the statement:

His Excellency the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe Cde E D Mnangagwa, has in terms of section 340, subsection (1), paragraph (f), as read with section 104, subsection (1) of the Constitution of Zimbabwe removed Owen Ncube from Office of Cabinet Minister and Minister of Government with immediate effect for conduct inappropriate for a Minister of Government.

During Ncube’s term of office, Zimbabwe was subjected to terror by machete gangs which targeted mainly gold mining towns.

Zimbabwe also recorded a rise in reported crimes involving state armour.
