SB Moyo Fought Bravely And Was Determined To Beat COVID-19 And Go Back Home – Report

Africa-PressZimbabwe. Sources that spoke to investigative journalists, The NewsHawks have said the late Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Sibusiso Moyo was determined to beat COVID-19 and go back home.

According to the publication, Moyo reportedly constantly said “I have to come out of this” while he was admitted in the hospital before his demise:

Foreign minister Sibusiso Moyo, who died of Covid-19 at a Harare private clinic last week, “fought bravely” for 72 hours to stay alive with all his willpower, mostly saying “I have to come out of this; we must defeat this pandemic”, a medical source said.

Moyo kept on saying he had no choice, but to make it back home. But he sometimes got frustrated when medical staff didn’t notice who he was at the hospital. “Do you follow media or have a TV at home?” Moyo would ask those who seemed unaware of who he was.”Really don’t think so!”.

61-year-old Moyo who at one point was nicknamed General Bae, succumbed to the virus last Wednesday and was declared a national hero. He was the ZACC Chairlady Justice Loice Matanda Moyo’s husband and he was reportedly fighting a kidney ailment before his demise last week.
