“Those Who Appointed Me Are Confident Of My Track Record,” New ZESA Board Chair

21

The newly appointed board chairperson, Dr Sydney Gata has said that he is aware that his re-appointment to the post was not without controversy as was the case when he was appointed for many other posts before.

Speaking to the Sunday Mail’s Chief Reporter Kuda Bwititi in an interview, Gata said that what matters is that he had a good record and passion for engineering, attributes he believes will help him deliver expected goals and objectives.

Gata was re-appointed when the country has an acute shortage in power which has threatened the local industry and it remains to be seen when and or if he will be able to turn around the state of affairs. Below is an excerpt from the interview.
