Africa-PressZimbabwe. Dynamos Football Club Marketing and Communications Manager Yvonne Tendai Mangunda has quit the Glamour Boys.

The former StarFM sportscaster broke the news via a Facebook post this Wednesday but she did not reveal the reasons why she was leaving DeMbare or her next destination. She wrote:

Thank you for the warmth and love you have shown me in the past 10 months. From conversations in the streets and on social media. Thank you for welcoming me into the family from day one. Thank you for the memories.

I am so glad to have been part of such a big family but it is time for me to move on. I have resigned as Marketing and Communications Manager.

I will forever cherish the moments I had with the team including receiving my first medal, in the Independence Cup.

Thank you to the Board Chairman Bernard Marriot Lusengo, Executive Chairman Isaiah Mupfurutsa and the rest of the Executive Committee for their faith in me.

Thank you for taking a chance with me. For pushing me to leave my comfort zone at Star FM and enter football administration. Thank you for your support during my time at Chazunguza.

Thank you to Tonderai Ndiraya and the rest of the technical team for the support and appreciation of my work.

Coach Tonde, I know the promises I made when I joined, I have broken by resigning but I will continue to be a cheerleader in the terraces. Cheering you on as you win the Chibuku Super Cup and league.

Washy Lusengo, mface wangu, keep working as hard as you do, one day you will be rewarded. Hope to see you one day as the Warriors kit manager. I will miss you because of your work ethic, always working and grinding.

Thank you to the players for helping me along by being cooperative. Special shout out to Bill Antonio and Tino Muringai, the little brothers I never had growing up. Your future is bright, if you stay as warm, disciplined as you are.

Emmanuel Jalai and Trevor Mavhunga, the humblest footballers I have ever met. May your star continue to shine and may His grace continue to show in your careers.

Sylvester Appiah and Albert Eonde, may the Lord grant you the aspirations that made you leave your homeland. Eonde, I will miss the phone kkkkkk how you helped me and were supportive when I was doing my job.

I may have mentioned some players, not that the rest were not amazing but it’s normal that with every group, there will always be those that stand out to you for different reasons.

Thank you to every fan that has believed in me, whether we have spoken or not. Thank you to every fan that has taken time to reach out and tell me in person or on social media about their dreams for the club and what they think I can do.

Thank you to Remington Gold and OTB Looks for the brilliant working relationship we had.

Chioniso Omuhle Mashakada, thank you for being a brilliant assistant, always eager and ready to work and go the extra mile.

Thank you Chazunguza family, mutunhu une mago, haina ngozi. We meet to part and part to meet. I will be celebrating with you when Dynamos win the Chibuku Super Cup later this year. With Coach Tonde and the solid team, you can and you will.

… Goodbye Dembare but not goodbye sport. You will know my next destination, soon, very soon.
